In the US, Sega has begun to slowly advertise the system. Things will kick into high gear very soon with an onslaught of adverts in print, television, and in the theaters. Sega has allied with Pepsi for a pre-film trailer called "Hot Topics." The trailer will show before feature films such as Star Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Menace (yes, I've tickets for the 19th). On TV, Sega is one of the primary sponsors of this year's MTV Music Awards, which happens to be airing on September 9th. Around 950 commercial spots have been purchased from this July until March next year. Thus far, around 60,000 pre-orders have been taken for the DC...Sega expects around 300,000 by launch.
